One of the best parts about small parties is you can go a little bit crazy with the invitations. I loved the look of this invitation, but if I had to make even a dozen of these beauties, I would have probably died. Fortunately I only had to make a few, and in the end I was happy with the final look instead of resenting the very sight of those super intricate, darling, pom poms.
In his single days, Chris loved to throw a Let Summer Begin party. He bought a bunch of burgers and a bunch of soda and invited his friends over. Easy peasy. This time we picked out some pre-marinated tri-tip and kabobs, some sirloin, some rib eye, and we bought a case of Juice Squeeze. It was the perfect party for a 22-year-old bachelor (who also happens to be a master griller) because it’s a simple party: just excellent food and dear friends. It was also the perfect party for our weekend since I am of no help whatsoever.

Being sick all the time is the worst, yes? I'm glad Chris is doing a good job of doing all the things. Your party looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI have definitely not enjoyed it... but Chris really does ALL the things, so it could be worse :) also: we definitely need to have more parties together.
Deletecutest invite!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was really fun to send them out :)
Deletethanks for putting everything together. it was such an awesome party.
ReplyDeleteChris YOU put everything together... silly.
DeleteI am seriously impressed by all of the things you have managed to do while being sick. I kind of just became a hermit...part of that was probably because we moved mid-pregnancy and I knew no one, but still. You are doing awesome :) and you're almost done! Hooray!
ReplyDeleteI defintiely FEEL like a hermit, that's for sure. And I seriously cannot believe that you moved mid-pregnancy. That is my nightmare.
