If Wikipedia is to be believed, these gardens have a pretty cool history: the 1894 World's Fair, the first fortune cookies, good stuff. But the draw for me has always been the beautiful plants and bridges. We went in the early morning (when it’s free! And less crowded!), and spent about an hour taking it all in. Also taking a billion pictures. I would totally recommend it to a friend.
