view from my library (looking out across the panhandle of Golden Gate Park)
The first night I walked home from USF campus, the fog was rolling down Fulton Street like it was the villain in a horror movie. Visibility was, like, fifteen feet, and I had the overwhelming feeling that I couldn’t see where I was going (in life generally or past Golden Gate Park). Well, I’m 101 days from graduation, and a lot has changed since that first week of school. First, I know more about parol evidence, and second, the fog doesn’t depress me anymore. When I walk into the library on foggy mornings it’s very comforting, like a blanket covering the sleeping city.
