I just finished Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim. I’ve read or listened to most of it already, so I was shocked when I realized I couldn’t put this book down. The material wasn’t new, but I still wanted it intravenously, straight into my bloodstream. You’re not everyone’s favorite writer, and some of that is deserved; the drugs, the sex, the language, it can be a bit too much for people. But you get me excited about reading. I stay up at night to finish “just one more” story. I carry your books around wherever I go in case I can get a few pages in while I’m standing in line. In a world where it seems that the only literature people get really excited about is written for teenagers (Harry Potter, Twilight, etc), it’s incredibly refreshing to be excited about reading something with a more grown-up target audience.
