I wish I had a better camera to show you the hundreds of kites in the air, but my phone makes it look like a lot of sky and then some dots. You just had to be there.Today the Washington Seminar program took everyone down to Gettysburg. On Friday afternoon I started to wonder if I would regret not going with them, but when I stepped off the Smithsonian Metro I was instantly thrilled with my decision to spend the afternoon with Siena and Miles (and adorable, squishy-faced babies). It was the first day of the Cherry Blossom Festival, and we got to be there while hundreds of people flew kites at the Washington Monument. And I know Gettysburg is cool - I've been there before - but I was glad we were here instead of there. It was warm outsides, I made new Mormon friends, sat on our picnic blanket, and really loved living in DC. This place is awesome.

It is so cool you are loving your time in DC. I have a package I want to send to you. Please send me your address (hopefully I'll get it to you before you're actually back home!). Loved your post card - you ALWAYS have a room in Mtn Green any time the need arises! Love ya!
